(SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Knicks might be without Carmelo Anthony Wednesday night when they continue their road trip at American Airlines Center versus the Dallas Mavericks. Anthony is listed as doubtful with back spasms. He injured his back and left in the second quarter of New Yorks 91-86 road loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday. Anthony finished with 14 points and the Knicks had a six-point lead with just under nine minutes left. The Rockets closed the game on an 18-4 run to send the Knicks to a 1-6 road mark. We just didnt have enough down the stretch, Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire said. Stoudemire was correct indeed. Anthony was the leading scorer despite leaving in the second quarter and no other member of the Knicks finished in double figures. The Knicks have scored over 100 points just three times this season. They rank 25th in the NBA in scoring at 94.8 ppg. New York closes its road trip in Oklahoma City on Friday and it might be just in time for the returns of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who both returned to practice this week. This matchup on Wednesday has the interesting subplot of Tyson Chandler. He signed with the Knicks as a free agent in 2011, won a Defensive Player of the Year award, then was traded back to the Mavericks this past offseason. There was some hurt feelings between the parties, but Chandler is ready to move on. In all honesty, Im so focused on the Mavericks that the Knicks are in my rearview mirror. I dont mean that in a negative way, but its in the past, and Im moving forward, he told ESPNDallas.com Dallas has lost consecutive games for the first time this season. The Mavs fell at Houston to the Rockets, then lost at home to the undermanned Indiana Pacers, 111-100, on Monday. Monta Ellis had 24 points and Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 with 11 rebounds for the Mavericks, who have dropped two in a row following a six-game winning streak. Dallas forward Chandler Parsons called the loss against the short-handed Pacers embarrassing. We have no room for this, especially in the Western Conference, how tight everything is, said Parsons, who scored 16. There is no excuse for this. We have to come out and play harder, and we cant allow a team like this to come into our place and beat us. Dallas shot 50 percent from the field, but the difference was Indiana went 13- for-26 from long range, while the Mavericks shot 8-for-24 from the 3-point arc. The Mavericks hit the road for a four-game trek following the holiday. They will visit the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks. These two sides have split the previous six meetings, but the Mavericks are 12-2 in their last 14 at home against the Knicks. Kyle Schwarber Cubs Jersey . Victor Hedman had two goals and an assist to help the Lightning beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 on Wednesday night, spoiling Lecavaliers homecoming. Lecavalier, who played 14 years for the Lightning after being selected first overall in the 1998 draft, faced his old team for the first time and scored a power-play goal late in the third period. "It was very weird stepping out on the ice," he said. "Obviously we didnt win, and Im disappointed in that, but I had a great experience just skating on the ice. The fans were supportive of me. That definitely means a lot." The former Tampa Bay captain received a standing ovation after a video tribute was played on the scoreboard midway through the first. "You see Vinny, you get good feelings," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "Hes not a guy you see and are like, Oh gosh, I hope he doesnt see me so I have to say hello. Vinny is a guy you want to walk up and say, How are you? How are things? To see him for the first time, that was kind of the tough part. It was great to see him." Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson also scored for the Lightning, who have won seven in a row at home. Tampa Bay, behind goalie Ben Bishop, beat the New York Rangers 5-0 Monday night. Anders Lindback was in net for the Lightning in this one and he stopped Wayne Simmonds backhander on a first-period penalty shot. "Its unfortunate we couldnt get any points out of this little trip here, but you cant really dwell on it," Simmmonds said.dddddddddddd "Youve got to look forward." After Lecavalier and Streit got the Flyers to 3-2 with less than 2 minutes to play, Johnson secured the Lightning win by scoring an empty-net goal. Hedman put Tampa Bay up 1-0 when he beat Ray Emery from a tough angle just above the goal line near the left wing boards 9:15 into the second. Palat made it 2-0 on a short-handed rebound after Emery turned aside Hedmans shot at 12:16. Tampa Bay went ahead 3-0 on Hedmans power-play goal in the third. "Its always fun to contribute at both ends of the ice," the defenceman said. "Youve got to keep rolling ... keep winning hockey games, thats most important." Tampa Bay has been impacted by a number of injuries recently, including one to star centre Steven Stamkos, who expects to play again this season after breaking his right leg on Now. 11. Cooper said left wing Ryan Malone, who took a shot off his skate last week, is being evaluated to see if he has a chipped bone. Defenceman Radko Gudas, out with an upper-body injury, could return within the next week. "You cant cry foul," Cooper said. "This happens to every team in the league." Bishop, scheduled to get the night off, left the morning skate early after taking a shot off his hand. Cooper said Bishop is OK.
