The Patek Philippe 5970 is probably the closest thing to a balance between a pre-2000s perpetual calendar chronograph and a modern watch. It's a bit bigger than the 2499 and 3970 and still uses the base Lemania movement and a very traditional dial.
It pays homage to the very best elements of Patek Philippe’s historic perpetual calendar chronographs, but also brings some very unique design elements to present Patek Philippe’s most visually appealing timepiece. The inner appeal at first glance is incredible.
The Platinum 5970P is the only regular production model that differs from the other 5970s, with two discreet but noticeable differences. The first is that each case is set with a diamond at six o’clock. The second is that the 120km mark appears on the tachymeter scale, while the word "Switzerland" appears in other versions. In this case, "Swiss" fits neatly into the second track below. This is the only regular production 5970 to appear with the 120 mark.
